We have a small office (16 employees) and in our large conference room there are some occasions (however, not very often) where we need a conference phone in this Large Conference room, so that everyone on staff can be on the call. We've tried a couple different cheap solutions, none of which have worked well as due to the size of the room, and our table configuration (setup in a "U") nobody on the phone can hear the people at the far ends of the U shape. That is where this phone came in and has worked well! With the four wireless mics that we can spread out across the tables, it picks up everyone nicely on our calls, and again considering how seldom we need that capability, the price point was perfect. Other solutions with multiple wireless mics on the market are easily $3,000-$5,000, as they require a mixer, controller, external speakers, etc. This unit fits the bill, and I read all the other reviews, some of which mentioned issues with the batteries in the wireless mics, so I purchased the extended warranty coverage as a safe guard on replacing those batteries as needed.Had I thought about whether to check if these used Lithium or Ni-cad rechargables I may not have purchased it. But so far the system is reported to work fine with no issues. This is a great speakerphone with a serious flaw. The batteries in the units I have purchased are very poor quality and swell in less than a year. I am not sure if this is the result of a faulty charging system or cheap battery. The swelling causes the charging contacts to lose connection resulting in uncharged pucks. The swelling also makes it very hard to remove the battery cover. In addition this is a serious safety concern. I have 4 of these phones. They are all less than a year old and they all have this problem. I contacted Vtech and they sent me 16 new batteries. If you own this phone I strongly suggested you immediately check your phone and contact Vtech. You have a 2-year warranty, use it. I hope the new batteries fix the issue. If it is a fault with the charging system then there may be an inherent design flaw. People always replace the microphone pucks after using the phone. If they can't be left in the base then the phone loses a lot of its usefulness. I will measure the height of the batteries upon receiving them new week. I will then check the batteries again in a month or so and update the results. What?? V-Tech...Isn't that a toy company? This phone is no toy! The VTech ErisStation works great in small conference rooms or offices, but with the 4 wireless "puck" remote microphones, it also works well in multi-row training rooms and other larger meeting rooms. Sound quality both ways is excellent. Did I mention the wireless pucks? SO nice to expand the room so the people you call can hear from everyone in the room. Why don't the "real" conference phone guys make them like this? I have bought many of these for different locations mostly to replace less versatile Polycom sets. We've used this in a large hotel ballroom with 80 in attendance and 10+ on the phone as well as in a large conference room with about 20 in the room. I like that it works directly into the phone jack and the remote mics are helpful for the callers on the phone to stay aware of things going on in the meeting. I wish that the remote mics were also speakers, but for the price of this phone, it's a really good value. One of the best features is that all of the cords are able to be interchanged. We use much much longer cords in order to get the main speaker at the head of our meeting table. If you are looking for a budget option and need something for different size rooms, this is a great choice. Much better than many of the daisy chain options available now, especially if you need something other than VOIP.The product is used for telephone conference calls for Managers and staff employees. It comes in handy during the Pandemic and no being able to have face to face conference. The conference phone itself is beautiful. The detachable speakers are a hit with our board members who always complained they could not hear on the phone when calling in remotely. Now the calls are clear as a bell and no complaints. The only problem we had was with the Ethernet cable that came with the phone. It was not the right fit and we unable to get a replacement cable from the seller. They were generous enough to give us a partial refund to purchase our own cable but for the convenience I would have preferred if everything came in the box correctly.I think this is great, the removable mics are why we chose this product. One thing we find we'd like is an integrated hook on the mic's for easier placement around a conference room.. but really we make do.If I were to add another feature, it would be a line out to allow additional speaker. (or Bluetooth!)Update:LiPo Battery replacement for the mics, $15 - $20 X 4. first batch lasted about a year.Still like this productExcellent audio quality on both ends of the conference call and the wireless remotes make communications around a board table.Cost effective solution for multi-purpose type room. Remote mic's are very sensitive but because they are remote devices, users need to be coached not to touch them during a call or the calls get messy. Overall quite happy with the purchase.Love this Phone, every visitor in the boardroom comments on it. Great PhoneExcellent article Analogue pour conférence audioWorks well
