My last phone wallet similar to this opened along the long side not the short one. The snap on that one was not as sturdy as it should have been. I was on a trip when I discovered my credit card had fallen out. Thankfully a staff person in a site I had visited two days earlier contacted me to say she had found it. I had her cut it up and discard it for me. After that I kept nothing of value in that phone case other than my XS Max iphone. Upon returning home, I sought a better case and found this one. It opens along the short side, and the snap is much sturdier too. It makes one subtle click when the two sides meet and a second one when they bond, so I listen for that double click. The pockets holding the cards are tight as well so the cards will not be falling out from this case. The exterior is pretty. The case seems to do all it is advertised as doing. Interestingly, for those who prefer the strap somewhere other than the lower right corner, one can use the little wrist strap on any of the case’s four corners as there are four tiny holes. I cannot remember if it comes with the tempered glass to protect your iPhone face but I recommend getting a piece for your specific iPhone if you don’t already plan on it. This case seems durable and sturdy as well as pretty and well designed.
